Online Application & Registration

  • Scanned Photograph

    JPG/JPEG, about 50–100 KB, 320×240 px (typical RRB spec)
    MANDATORY
    Printed on all ALP/Technician admit cards and used for identity verification at exam, DV and medical.

  • Scanned Signature

    JPG/JPEG, about 30–50 KB, 140×60 px (typical RRB spec)
    MANDATORY
    Acts as specimen signature; compared with signatures done on attendance sheets and DV forms.

  • Photo Identity Card (Details + Optional Scan)

    Aadhaar / Voter ID / PAN / Passport / Driving Licence

  • 10th / Matriculation Details

    Roll number, year and board from Class 10 marksheet

CBT 1 & CBT 2 Exam Days

  • RRB ALP / Technicians Admit Card (CBT 1 / CBT 2)

    A4 print of e-call letter for respective CBT

    Shows exam city, shift, reporting time and seat; entry to the exam lab is not allowed without this.

  • Original Photo ID

    Aadhaar / Voter ID / PAN / Passport / DL etc.

    Used for identity verification at the exam centre gate and during biometric/photo verification.

  • Recent Passport-size Photograph

    As per admit card instructions

CBAT (Aptitude Test) – ALP Only

  • Matriculation (Class 10) Certificate & Marksheet

    Original + at least two self-attested photocopies

  • ITI / Diploma / Engineering Qualification (As Applicable)

    Original ITI certificate or Diploma/degree with all mark sheets + photocopies

    Proves trade/branch eligibility as per CEN; incorrect trade or missing certificate can cancel candidature.

  • Apprenticeship Certificate (If Claimed)

    Original Act Apprenticeship certificate and mark sheets
    Needed if candidate has applied via Act Apprentice route; cross-checked with trade eligibility list.

  • Category / Community Certificate (SC/ST/OBC-NCL)

    Original caste certificate in prescribed central format + photocopies
    Required to avail reservation and relaxations; must clearly mention community, state and issuing authority.

  • EWS Income & Asset Certificate

    Original EWS certificate + photocopies
    Mandatory for candidates who claimed EWS reservation while filling the form; must be valid for the relevant year.

  • PWD / PwBD Certificate (If Applicable)

    Original benchmark disability certificate + photocopies
    Confirms disability type and percentage; used to verify eligibility under PwBD quota as per RRB norms.

  • Valid Photo Identity Proof

    Original Aadhaar / Voter ID / PAN / Passport / DL + photocopies
    Used to verify identity once again at DV and to ensure consistency across all stages of recruitment.

  • Domicile / Residence Certificate (If Required)

    Original domicile certificate + photocopies

  • Service Certificate / NOC (If Employed)

    Original No Objection Certificate or Service certificate from employer

    Pasted on DV sheets, service records and medical forms; photos should match uploaded photograph.

Medical Examination (ALP & Technicians)

  • Medical Exam e-Call Letter

    Issued by RRB for shortlisted candidates
    MANDATORY
    Mentions railway hospital, date and time for medical tests; without it, candidate cannot appear for medical.

  • Original Photo ID & DV Slip

    Same ID as before + DV acknowledgement
    MANDATORY
    Railway hospital uses these to confirm identity and that DV has already been successfully completed.

  • Previous Medical Records (If Any)

    Documents related to surgeries, chronic illnesses, eye treatment, etc.
    Help medical board assess fitness, especially for strict ALP vision and colour blindness standards.

Do I need to upload ITI/Diploma certificates with the ALP online form? ›
Usually you only upload photo and signature and provide qualification details in the form. Originals of your 10th and ITI/Diploma/Apprenticeship certificates are checked later at document verification.
Can I apply for ALP or Technician while I am still in final year of ITI/Diploma? ›
No, you must have completed the required ITI/Diploma or equivalent qualification and be able to show certificates at DV; final-year candidates without certificates are normally not accepted.
What if I fail to produce original caste or EWS certificate at DV? ›
If you cannot show valid original reservation certificates, you may be treated as unreserved or your candidature can be cancelled depending on RRB rules and your marks position.
How many sets of photocopies should I carry for ALP/Technician DV? ›
Carry at least two to three self-attested photocopies of every certificate along with all originals and extra photographs because some copies are retained by RRB and railway hospital.
