UPSC CAPF AC Complete Document Requirements (2026 Cycle)

UPSC now takes most documents at online application stage itself (10th, graduation, category, Ex-Servicemen, service undertaking, Photo ID). Later at PET, medical and interview, candidates must show originals of the same certificates.

Online Application (Part I & II)

  • Scanned Photograph

  • Scanned Signature / Triple Signature

    JPG/JPEG/PNG, 20–300 KB, black ink, not in capitals
    MANDATORY
    UPSC now uses a “triple-signature” (three signatures in one image) to avoid technical and impersonation issues.

  • Selected Photo ID Proof

    Aadhaar / Voter ID / PAN / Passport / DL
    MANDATORY
    Details of this ID are locked and used in all future references – must carry same ID to exam and interview.

Certificates to Upload (With Form)

  • Matriculation / 10th Certificate

    Scanned PDF/JPG, clearly showing DOB & name
    MANDATORY
    Only accepted proof of Date of Birth – horoscopes, affidavits or municipal extracts are not accepted.

  • Graduation Degree / Provisional + Marksheets

    Scanned degree or provisional with all year/semester marksheets
    MANDATORY
    Proof that you meet the minimum educational qualification defined in CAPF rules.

  • Community Certificate (SC/ST/OBC)

    Scanned SC/ST/OBC-NCL as per central govt format
    Required to claim reservation/relaxations; must be valid on closing date of application.

  • EWS Certificate

    Latest financial year, issued by competent authority
    Needed to claim EWS reservation in CAPF vacancies.

  • Ex-Servicemen Discharge Certificate

    Scanned discharge book/certificate
    Mandatory if claiming Ex-Servicemen status or relaxation.

  • Government Service Undertaking (if already in Govt)

    Scanned signed undertaking; physical original for interview
    Confirms you informed your employer and will produce proper NOC at interview.

Written Exam Day (Paper I & II)
